Launching Tuesday, August 26, 2025!

The launch of the Supporting Indigenous Women’s and 2SLGBTQI+ Organizations Program National Call for Concepts, administered by Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC).

This call for new projects aims to fund and support activities that bolster Indigenous women's and 2SLGBTQI+ organizations to increase their ability to engage with community to determine needs, interests, gaps and priorities and work with levels of government to advance these grassroots perspectives and priorities in all areas of decision-making that impact their lives.

  • Applications for the 2026 to 2027 fiscal year will follow a two-stage process, beginning with the submission of a concept note.

  • Concept submissions will be accepted from August 26 to September 26, 2025.

  • If your concept is selected, you will be invited to submit a full proposal in October 2025.

The program funds Indigenous-owned and led renewable energy, energy efficiency, and low-carbon heating projects. These projects will help meet Canada’s 2030 emissions reduction target and net-zero emissions by 2050.

Call for applications: 2025 Venice Fellowship

The Canada Council will award 14 fellowships, prioritizing applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis people, Black and racialized people, Deaf people or people living with a disability, people from official language minority communities, youth, 2SLGBTQI+, belonging to gender-diverse communities, women and those at the intersections of these identities. The Canada Council will also ensure that the fellowship cohort reflects the regional diversity of Canada. A shared apartment in Venice will be provided in addition to the grant to help support travel and living costs.
